In both the boys' and girls' singles competitions in the U18 age group, the top six seeds progressed to the next round.
Similarly, in the other six divisions, all the top seeds kept their hopes alive.
They included Daniel Brink (Glen Country Club in the Western Cape) in the Boys 16 category, Lyndsey Philipps (Anthony Harris Tennis Academy in the Western Cape) in the Girls 16 age group, Tristan Summers (Koedoepark Tennis Club in Gauteng) in the Boys 14 division, Winnie Masemola (Hammanskraal Tennis Club in Gauteng) in the Girls 14 category, Zoran Meyer (Knysna Tennis Club in the Western Cape) in the Boys 12 age group, and Linja Erasmus (Strand in the Western Cape) in the Girls 12 division.
Aside from SA titles being on the line in the singles and doubles formats at the national championships, the participants have been given additional incentives, with the finalists in each event receiving wildcard entries from Tennis South Africa for various international tournaments to be played in South Africa later this year.
The annual age group showpiece will conclude on Sunday when the finals are contested.
