Marumo Gallants and Orbit College could not be separated in their latest Betway Premiership assignment following a tense 0-0 draw at the Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium on Sunday evening.
In what was a game of missed opportunities, Gallants and Orbit were forced to settle for a point this weekend, while Kagiso Mlambo kept his side in the game following a saved penalty in the second half.
Marumo Gallants looked threatening during the first 10 minutes of the match, while Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo hit the woodwork with a left-footed shot from an acute angle as the home side attacked from a set-piece situation.
There was little to separate the two sides midway through the first half, with neither creating any notable scoring chances leading up to the 25th minute. However, it was Orbit College who edged their opposite numbers in the possession count, albeit slightly.
Orbit College took the direct approach in an attempt to break the deadlock as the halftime whistle approached, as seen with long-range shots from Lebogang Lesako and Mbulelo Wagaba.
Nonetheless, with both sets of attackers off the mark in the first-half, the referee called time on the first 45 with the score level at 0-0.
Orbit College were quick out of the blocks following the restart and at the same time, showcased their aerial threat, following close-headed efforts by the likes of Mbulelo Wagaba and Thabang Mahlangu.

Gallants were dealt with a heart-stopping moment in the 61st minute after Thabang Mahlangu drew a foul inside the penalty area as the referee pointed to the spot. However, Mahlangu failed to convert his penalty, with Mlambo producing a telling save.
Orbit College piled on the pressure during the closing 10 minutes of the match, with Lucky Malatsi and Wagaba keeping the Gallants backline busy with shots from all angles.
Both teams engaged in producing efforts from outside the 18-yard area during the dying moments of the game but failed to hit the target with success as the scoreline read 0-0 at the end of 90 minutes in Bloemfontein.
