Socceroos coach Tony Popovic called up Croatia-born Hibernian striker Ante Suto on Thursday for Australia's final home games before the World Cup.
Suto is one of three uncapped players in the squad for home matches on 27 March against Cameroon and 31 March against fellow World Cup qualifiers Curacao.
The others are Poland-based forward Deni Juric and Brisbane teenager Lucas Herrington.
But Norwich attacker Mohamed Toure – the EFL Young Player of the Month in February – is absent with a groin injury.
Influential midfielder and sometime captain Jackson Irvine will also miss out as he recovers from a foot injury sustained playing for German club St. Pauli.
Australia are boosted by the return of 81-cap defender Aziz Behich for the first time since June last year.
The 25-year-old Suto was born and raised in Croatia but holds an Australian passport through his father.
Suto, who has three goals in six games for Hibs, was also eligible to play for Croatia.
"These are our last matches before our World Cup pre-camp and we have considered a variety of factors in selecting this squad," said Popovic.
"For many this camp is another opportunity to represent the Socceroos.
"However, we have also included new faces, as this is our final chance to see players first-hand before our World Cup camp."
