Pakistan Women won the toss and chose to field first in their ICC Women Championship ODI match against South Africa Women at SuperSport Park on Wednesday afternoon.
South Africa Women leads the three-match series 1-0. The hosts South Africa will be looking to make it two wins in two games after their 37-run win over the visitors in the first ODI.
Sune Luus led the charge for South Africa with an unbeaten 93 to help hosts set an unassailable target. Sinalo Jafta, who also scored an unbeaten half-century with a career-best 57, chipped in with valuable runs.
South Africa’s bowlers complemented their efforts by keeping to tight lines and length to keep Pakistan below the required run rate throughout their innings. Laura Wolvaardt and her charges will be hoping that her side will pull together once more. Victory will seal the three-match series for the hosts.
Meanwhile, Pakistan will be hoping that Sidra Amin and Ayesha Zafar will replicate their batting from the first ODI and that the rest of their batters can offer them better support. They will be hopeful that their bowlers can put on a better show in their quest to level the series.
